Hello to all, Welcome to Patty's House of Sewing web site.
IMPORTANT NOTE for some reason I'm not getting any messages if you go to "Contast Us" so please email me at email@example.com. I would love to hear from you.
I sure hope you had a great summer. I was busy with sewing, family get together, baby sitting, camping, gardening, baling hay, weddings and most important, becoming grandma again.
Now fall is around the corner and I can't wait for the sewing retreats to begin. I have some exciting retreat projects planned. As always the project of the month is optional you are welcome to work on anything.
I welcome you all to join us at any of the upcoming events.
Sept 12,13 & 14 TABLE RUNNER (Picture attach) Learning how to do “flying geese”, a magical way that you have no waste fabric. Learning this technique, you will be able to arrange these blocks in different ways, making each table runner unique. You can also make a quilt with this technique. Material needed for table runner pictured: Larger print 5/8 yard -- Smaller print 5/8 yard (Focus one color you like from larger print)--Solid or very small print 1 &1/3 yard, this is also for the backing. (Focus on the lightest color in large print)-- Batting 1/2 yard (I do have this on hand)
Oct. 10,11 & 12 SEWING ROOM PROJECTS Sewing machine cover, sewing apron, pin cushion with wastebasket, sewing gadget/cup holder and the list goes on. Come and make it all or chose what project you would like. (Pictures are attached) I will send you a material list upon request.
Nov. 14,15 & 16 PURSE/BAG This was a fun project to make and was not too hard. The hardest was finding all the different fabrics, so start looking now. I started with a printed fabric with many colors and I pulled every color out of it that I could. You will need (3) 5 inch square blocks of 12 different fabrics plus you will need 3/4 yard of a 13th fabric color with little or no print for the lining, handles and the V for the front of pocket. Other material needed is batting (I have on hand), large button, 1 magnetic snap and top stitching thread to match.
December no retreat unless requested
